
The Lumen Awards program was conceived by the New York City Section of the Illuminating Engineering Society in 1968 and developed to encourage and publicly recognize excellence, professionalism, ingenuity and originality in lighting design. Any architectural lighting design project or specialty lighting design is eligible for submission.
Lumen Awards are NYC Section level recognitions of the IES Illumination Awards. Receipients of 2009 Lumen Awards will be presented on June 10, 2009 at our Lumen Gala.
Lumen Award Descriptions
Lumen Award of Excellence - The highest level of recognition for permanent architectural application
Lumen Award of Merit - Meritorious recognition for permanent architectural application
Lumen Citation - Special recognition for an art installation, technical detail, portion of a single project, temporary installation or other work
Lumen Feltman Award – Recognition for excellence in retail merchandising lighting
