An overview of the options for controlling light sources typically used in commercial applications and the various ways they can be combined into and communicate with other building systems.

Shoshanna A. Segal, MIES, LC, IALD, LEED AP
A native of Louisville, Kentucky, Shoshanna Segal received her BA in Theatre and History from Indiana University and her MFA in Theatrical Lighting Design from the University of Wisconsin – Madison.
Since arriving in New York after graduation, Ms. Segal has had the privilege of working with and learning from many of New York’s best know lighting designers. In addition to her design work,
Shoshanna has worked as a manufacturers’ representative, and in Sales Management for a lighting manufacturer.
Ms. Segal has managed and designed a wide array of corporate, institutional, retail and residential projects. As a designer, she strives to balance vision with practicality to arrive at design solutions that can be brought in on time and on budget, while remaining true to the visual and conceptual needs of the project.
Shoshanna has served on the faculty of the New York School of Interior Design and has lectured for the New York City chapters of the A.I.A, The I.E.S., and the D.L.F. Ms. Segal is currently a member of two I.E.S.N.A. Committees both of which are actively involved in preparing technical papers for publication. She is a professional member of the I.A.L.D. and is a LEED Accredited Professional.
